Our group of company’s covers a large geographical area, and the successful applicant will be required to perform regular after hours on call duties based on a roster system and have the flexibility to be both a team player and the ability to self-manage and work unsupervised when required.

We are looking for a full time Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team. While experience in embalming and/or funeral directing would be an advantage, the desire to learn and be an inclusive part of the team is extremely important. The position requires that the candidate is flexible in their approach to their workload and is methodical and practical. The work can be physical and demanding and require the successful candidate to be highly efficient and conscientious as tasks and workflow can vary greatly from day to day.

The position involves transfers, body preparation, casket preparation, funeral directing and other duties to ensure a high standard of presentation is maintained through the entire company. Therefore, excellent physical health is required as bending and lifting is part of the role. The ability to tolerate stress and work long, irregular hours is important.

Approval for annual police check and a full clean NZ driver’s license is essential.  We as an Employer, provide a highly professional and supportive working environment and a true team culture. Remuneration relevant to qualification and experience is offered.
