Of Palmerston North, formerly of Levin. Passed away peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital on 13 October 2023. Aged 41 years. Loved son of Helen and the late Ian. PICKFORD, Christopher John

Passed away at Palmerston North Hospital on September 18, 2023 after a short illness. Left this world aged 78, surrounded by love, appreciation, and thanks from his family around the globe. Much loved husband of Gloria for 49 years, and father to Ricky, Alicia, Jonathan, Jeremy, and Christine. Brother of Ian, and son of the late John and Joyce. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and so much more – a testament to his kindness, generosity, and love for his cherished extended family. Chris was farewelled at a small private ceremony in Palmerston North on September 26, before being driven to his final resting place at Pyes Pa in Tauranga the following day – leading a group of his loved ones on one last road trip. Kerry was born 30th December 1963 and unexpectantly passed away on Tuesday 3rd October 2023. Aged 59 years. Dearly loved Husband of Cece. Loving father of Michael, Andrew, and Elesha. ISLES, Donald Gordon

Aged 85 years. Peacefully passed away on Thursday 21st September 2023 at Palmerston North Hospital. He is survived by his wife Dawn, his children Victoria and Stuart, his grand-children Cole and Jax, and many family and friends. A service for Donald will be held at The Lychway Chapel, 5 Roy Street, Palmerston North on Thursday 28th September, 11am. He was a special man who will be greatly missed by all.

Of Palmerston North. Passed away at home on Wednesday 13 September 2023. Aged 68 years. Loved daughter of Doug and Betty Berg (both deceased) and dearly loved sister of Christine (deceased). Loved and cherished by all her friends. As per Diane’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. Nana Betty to her 17 Grea- Grandchildren. Loved daughter of the late Walter and Mary Mortensen and sister of Vincent (dec). Betty was the last grandchild of Knud and Rangdi Andersen, Norsewood who immigrated from Norway on the “Hovding” in 1872. A huge thank you to the Doctors and Staff of the Opal Ward for their dedicated care to Betty. Of Palmerston North. Passed away peacefully at Brightwater Home, Palmerston North, surrounded with love, on Friday 18 August 2023. Aged 87 years. Much loved Mum of Sally, Barbara, Matthew, and Pete. Much loved mum-in-law of Marie. Cherished Granny of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved sister and sister-in-law of John and Sue Rainford, and Margaret and Peter Rainford. BUCKLEY, Michael Denis

Departed on his last fishing trip on 18th August 2023. Loved husband of Sandra, Caring father to Greg and Craig, and proud grandad to Willow, Dakota, and Arizona. Passed away on 19th August 2023 at Arohanui Hospice, aged 83. Don was a passionate educator, swimmer, family man and friend. The most loving soulmate of Ann.Caring and devoted father to Guy (dec) and Odile Boniface, Stepfather to Scott, Gray and Jane Beagley and Kylie McConnell and their respective partners Deidre, Andrea, Kurt and Emmet. Proud Grandad of Edward and Orla, Laura, Charlie and Kate, Riley and Flynn, Emily and Meg, Bailee and Alex. Brother to Patricia (dec), Judy (dec), Joe and Mike. Heartfelt thanks to Vicki for her unconditional support in Don’s final days. We extend sincere thanks to the Medical Specialists who have provided exemplary care over the years.
